Although they received strong starting pitching, the Shamrocks fell to the Whalers due to poor defense. James Callahan (St. Thomas Aquinas) came in relief and threw four solid innings for the Whalers, allowing just one run and two hits. Both Ralph Caccavale (Felician) and Jonathan Pagan (Old Westbury) contributed for the Whalers with multi-hit games. Caccavale also added two runs batted in to his stat line. Joseph Siringo (Villanova) of the Shamrocks threw six strong innings, surrendering just three hits and no earned runs. Siringo also struck out nine batters, but his teams five errors prevented him from getting the win.

Game 2 - Whalers 11 - Shamrocks 6
The Whalers jumped out to an early 9-0 lead and never looked back. They had runners on base all game, notching twelve hits, five walks, and reached base five times on errors. Jonathan Pagan (Old Westbury) had a monster day at the plate, driving in three runners, while also tallying a stolen base. In addition to Pagan, Mark Flynn (Columbia) had two hits, drove in a run, and scored three times himself. Despite their loss, the Shamrocks' Alexander Masotto (Villanova) drove in four runs while also registering three hits.
