Over the years, the New York Bluebirds has become something special, having young players with significant growth. As the Bluebirds organization continues to grow, they play with great tenacity when playing any of their opponents in three of the four seasons annually. Seasons back, the eight and nine-year olds from the Bluebirds stayed inviolable and undefeated in the Columbus Day A tournament and winning the championship. Because of their exceptional performances in the annual tournament, the team later became featured in MSNBC for their accomplishment.
Whether it’s the season or the offseason, the youthful New York Bluebirds trains year-round that includes hardcore strength and agility conditioning for their hitting and pitching. In spite of that, the Bluebirds do not have official trainers during the yearlong run. The New York Bluebirds 8u/9u anticipates the annual Ripken and Hot Stove’s Memorial Day tournaments. Certainly, due to their indubitable young ages, they do not attend high schools, nor do they get scouted by college scouts. In the meantime, they look to fulfill their development, as these younglings show substantial potential for the game of baseball.
