The Prep Baseball Report, New York (the states largest and most respected scouting and events company) just completed an impressive 8 events, 10 day long trek across the entire empire state, including a stop on Long Island. Long Island Sports Complex (Freesport, NY) played host to the scouting companies "NYC/LI Preseason Event".

Nearly 90 players were part of the workout, which included testing like the 60 yard dash, home-to-first, and exit velocity. Players also were recorded during their batting-practice, infield/outfield work, and during bullpen sessions. Start to finish, 3 hours, 37 minutes.

Top players at this event will be invited to attend the NYS Games, June 25-27. The NYS Games, in its fifth year, draws the best players across the state to one location to compete in front of college coaches from all over the east coast. "The NYS Games is quite honestly, the best event in the northeast. Anytime you can bring 300 quality players to one location, the colleges will follow. That's what makes the event  in Freesport, and the entire preseason week so special. As a staff we are able to physically see close to 700 players, making our NYS Games invitation process more exact". - Dan Cevette (President, New York)

Long Island continues to produce premium talent, year in and year out, and the Prep Baseball Report New York is excited to see what the future holds.
